The Physical Preparation Coach at the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing supports the Head of Physical Preparation to lead the SASI strength and conditioning program, delivering elite services to high-performance athletes.

Based at SASI's state-of-the-art facilities in Mile End, you will design and implement training plans, collaborate with coaches and medical staff, and ensure exceptional performance outcomes over a 24-month contract with some travel and after-hours work.

Competenze

• Tertiary qualification in Exercise, Health, Sport Science or related field.
• ASCA Level 2 Accreditation or international equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years experience with strength and conditioning for elite athletes.
• Senior First Aid and resuscitation certificate (or willingness to complete).

Mansioni

• Support Head of Physical Preparation in developing and managing the strength and conditioning team.
• Design, implement and deliver world-class strength and conditioning programs for SASI sports.

Role Details

The Physical Preparation Coach is responsible for supporting the Head of Physical Preparation in the development and management of the strength and conditioning team and ensuring elite high performance standards at both of SASI s high performance strength and conditioning facilities. This position will design, implement and deliver world class technical expertise in strength and conditioning support services for a range of allocated SASI sports programs to effectively optimise the achievement of performance outcomes in an integrated inter-disciplinary performance team.

Special Conditions

• The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
• The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
• Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
• This role requires a working with children check.

Essential Qualification

• Tertiary qualification in Exercise, Health, Sport Science or related field.
• ASCA Level 2 Accreditation or international equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years experience in the provision and application of strength and conditioning services to elite athletes and/or high performance programs.
• Senior First Aid and resuscitation certificate (or willingness to complete).
• Current driver's licence.

Salary Range

$96,191 - $111,434 p.a.

Up to 24 months
