The Government Of South Australia, through SASI, is seeking a Physical Preparation Coach based at SASI’s new state-of-the-art high performance facility to support the Head of Physical Preparation in developing a premier strength and conditioning program for elite athletes. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team servicing a range of SASI sports.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the provision and application of strength and conditioning services to elite athletes and/or high performance programs.
• ASCA Level 2 Accreditation or international equivalent.
• Tertiary qualification in Exercise, Health, Sport Science or related field.
• Senior First Aid and resuscitation certificate (or willingness to complete).
• Working with Children Check is required.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement and deliver strength and conditioning programs for allocated SASI sports programs.
• Support the Head of Physical Preparation in developing and managing the strength and conditioning team.
• Ensure elite high performance standards across SASI’s high performance facilities.
• Work within an inter-disciplinary performance team to optimise athlete outcomes.
• Travel interstate and work outside normal hours as required.

The Physical Preparation Coach is responsible for supporting the Head of Physical Preparation in the development and management of the strength and conditioning team and ensuring elite high performance standards at both of SASI’s high performance strength and conditioning facilities. This position will design, implement and deliver world class technical expertise in strength and conditioning support services for a range of allocated SASI sports programs to effectively optimise the achievement of performance outcomes in an integrated inter-disciplinary performance team.

• The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
• The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
• Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
• This role requires a working with children check.
