Job summary

Nexigen Digital is seeking a Software Engineer to join a close, agile team. You will deliver new projects and ongoing improvements to internal and customer-facing systems with a focus on PHP, Laravel, and modern web technologies.

The role involves maintaining billing/CRM platforms, integrating external APIs, and collaborating with product managers and engineers to scope, build, test, and deploy features. On-site Melbourne area, strong culture of learning and development.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of PHP development experience (self-taught considered).
• Strong understanding of PHP and MVC patterns.
• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, and Phalcon.
• Familiarity with Linux command line and server environments.
• Relational DB design with MySQL/MariaDB.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable PHP applications used across platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope, build, test, and deploy features.
• Maintain and improve core billing and CRM systems and related platforms.
• Integrate external APIs and providers into existing projects.
• Follow established coding standards and ensure high quality handovers.
