Job summary

Lumina Corp in Sydney is building a visible-light photonic integrated circuit platform and seeks a Photonics Fabrication and Test Engineer to translate device concepts into repeatable, high-yield fabrication flows. This hands-on role spans process development, integration, metrology, and yield, collaborating closely with design and test to close the loop fast.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years hands-on semiconductor/photonics fabrication process experience.
• Expert in EBL, ICP-RIE, PECVD, Thermal Evap, SEM.
• Strong data management and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and improve end-to-end photonics process flows.
• Run core cleanroom steps: lithography, etch, deposition, lift-off, cleaning.
• Establish robust process windows, controls and documentation.
• Drive metrology loops to correlate process to device performance.
• Collaborate across fabrication, design, and characterization teams.
• Run post-fabrication test and characterization to measure performance.
