Armidale Rural Referral Hospital (ARRH) is a major regional hospital in the New England region and is part of the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). Our pharmacy service delivers high-quality, patient-focused care across inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and specialist units. You will contribute to improving patient outcomes and supporting safe, effective medication management within the hospital and broader community.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy service. Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Managing the supply of pharmaceuticals to inpatient wards through imprest systems

  • Supporting purchasing and inventory control of medications

  • Assisting in the dispensing of prescriptions within inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment focused on patient care



About You

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, organized, and have a strong eye for detail. A willingness to learn, the ability to follow established procedures, and a positive attitude are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, as is the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.


This role is ideal for someone looking to build their skills in a clinical pharmacy environment. Whether you’re newly qualified or bring previous experience, you will be supported through structured on-the-job training and ongoing professional development. Requirements


  • Completed a minimum of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate IV issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital Pharmacy or Community Dispensary, or qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.
