Job summary

Compounded Pty Ltd in Alexandria, Sydney NSW is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time role spanning compounding lab work and the dispensary. You will compound medicines for humans and animals under pharmacist supervision and assist in dispensing and processing prescriptions.

Full training is provided in both areas, with external compounding courses funded for the right candidate. The position offers a stable weekday schedule in a close-knit team at a convenient Alexandria location.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail is essential in compounding and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Split time between the compounding lab and the dispensary under pharmacist supervision.
• Compound creams, capsules, troches, suspensions and more for human and veterinary patients.
• Assist pharmacists with dispensing and processing prescriptions.
• Be the first point of contact for patients, prescribers and vet clinics by phone and email.
• Take payments, process orders and prepare deliveries Australia-wide.
• Manage stock, reorder supplies and handle invoicing; follow quality control and safety procedures.

About us

Compounded is a specialist compounding pharmacy in Alexandria. We prepare personalised medicines for patients across Australia, working closely with GPs, specialists, veterinarians and our own Pain & Sport Medicine Department. We’re a small, close-knit team, and we’re looking for a technician who wants to learn both sides of pharmacy: the lab and the dispensary.

A role with real variety

No two days are the same. You’ll split your time between our compounding lab and the dispensary, building skills that most pharmacy technicians never get the chance to learn.

In the lab

• Compound creams, capsules, troches, suspensions and more for human and veterinary patients, under pharmacist supervision
• Help formulate prescriptions and prepare worksheets
• Follow quality control, documentation and safety procedures
• Maintain and clean compounding equipment

In the dispensary

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing and processing prescriptions
• Be the first point of contact for patients, prescribers and vet clinics by phone and email
• Take payments, process orders and prepare deliveries Australia-wide
• Manage stock, reorder supplies and handle invoicing

What we’re looking for
