My Skin Compounding Pharmacy in Toowong, Brisbane, is seeking a Laboratory Compounding Technician to join a skin-exclusive facility. You will prepare dermatological compounds under pharmacist supervision, focusing on creams, gels, and ointments with USP protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to be very organised and work autonomously.
• Great attention to detail and lateral thinker.
• Must have Australian Permanent Residence.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or Laboratory Technician.
• Solid understanding of non-aseptic techniques, ingredient weighing, and homogenisation methods (e.g. Unguator, Ointment Mill, Dermamill).
• Competence using pharmacy or lab inventory software will be highly regarded (RxOne, Excel logs, etc.).
• Clear communicator with exceptional attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new dermatological protocols, including pigmentation, acne, PDT, and rejuvenation formulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare dermatological compounds (creams, gels, ointments, suspensions) under pharmacist supervision, following USP protocols
• Manage ingredient receipt, quarantine, storage, and batch tracking for raw actives. Manage orders meticulously and when stock is running low.
• Conduct visual and physical quality control checks, assisting with sample documentation, batch worksheets, and pre-release checks
• Assist with RxOne dispensing, customer queries, and clinic liaisons related to topical and oral dermatology prescriptions
• Maintain lab cleanliness to ensure compliance with the Pharmacy's internal SOPs
• Support lab-based admin tasks, including SDS updates, chemical inventory management, cleaning, ordering

Key responsibilities
