Job summary

Cincotta Discount Chemist Auburn is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Auburn NSW 2144, you will support our pharmacists and deliver quality customer care in a friendly community pharmacy.

You will assist with dispensing, stock management, processing prescriptions, and customer service, while maintaining a clean and compliant work environment. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in pharmacy and healthcare, commitment to customer service.
• Strong communication skills for interactions with customers, staff and healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with medications and prescriptions.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

• Basic numeracy and literacy; proficient with computer systems and POS.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and ensure accuracy.
• Receive, check and store stock; maintain inventory levels and storage compliance.
• Process prescriptions and handle customer transactions at the till.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and answer general health queries.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Label and package medications as directed by the pharmacist.
• Support administrative tasks including record-keeping and documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering pharmacy supplies.
• Handle customer complaints with discretion and professionalism.

Cincotta Discount Chemist Auburn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring smooth daily operations, whilst delivering outstanding service to our customers.

What you'll be doing

Assisting pharmacists with the dispensing of medications and ensuring accuracy in all pharmaceutical preparations

Receiving, checking and storing pharmaceutical stock, maintaining inventory levels and adhering to storage requirements

Processing prescriptions and managing customer transactions at the till with professionalism and efficiency

Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering general enquiries about over-the-counter medications and health products

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised pharmacy environment in compliance with health and safety standards

Labelling and packaging medications as directed by the pharmacist

Supporting the pharmacist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping and documentation

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering of pharmacy supplies

Handling customer complaints and concerns with discretion and professionalism

What we're looking for

Relevant pharmacy qualifications or certifications (such as a Pharmacy Assistant Certificate) would be advantageous, though training will be provided to the right candidate

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
