A family-run community pharmacy in Adelaide is looking for a casual pharmacy assistant. The position offers flexible hours from Monday to Friday, with additional shifts possible. Ideal candidates will have customer service skills and a caring nature, and must hold a valid Australian driver's licence. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our small, highly regarded family run pharmacy as a casual pharmacy assistant. Surrounded by a small group of friendly, highly trained staff and wonderful customers this position is an opportunity to work in one of Adelaide’s nicest pharmacies.
This position offers 10-15 hours per week across Monday to Friday and some Saturday mornings. The current typical roster would be 10:30am-2:30pm Wednesday and Friday and 9:00am-12:00 noon on alternate Saturday mornings.
There is some flexibility with the hours depending on your availability. Additional shifts would be available during staff holiday cover and busy periods (eg Christmas).
Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred but not essential. Ideally applicants would either have current community pharmacy experience, have completed Certificate II in Community Pharmacy or currently be completing Certificate II in Community Pharmacy.
There is also an opportunity for the successful applicant to undertake their Community Pharmacy training whilst employed in the position. A caring and considerate nature is essential. A valid Australian driver’s licence is required as we offer a daily home delivery service which will form an important part of this role.
The successful applicant must be comfortable with technology as electronic prescriptions and digital health form an increasing part of the community pharmacy landscape.
Linden Park Pharmacy is a small, well staffed suburban community pharmacy with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturday morning 9:00am-12:00noon.
We also incorporate a small Post Office into our business and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn this aspect too. A particular strength of our pharmacy is the small group of friendly, well trained and experienced staff - so you will have the opportunity to develop in a customer focused, supportive and rewarding workplace.
