Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is seeking a Pharmacist Grade 1/2 to provide clinical pharmacy services across SESLHD, with a focus on safe and appropriate medication use. The role will rotate through clinical, dispensary and production teams on a rotation schedule.

The position is permanent full-time in Sydney, offering 38 hours per week and a competitive salary with NSW Health benefits, including generous leave and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe, efficient and high-quality patient care, including the ability to practise independently within scope.
  • Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care, achieve team objectives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage competing clinical priorities and complex workloads, including effective prioritisation, problem solving and the development and implementation of initiatives or service improvements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuing education, including the application of contemporary knowledge and learning to clinical practice.

Where you'll be working
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.
The Role
To provide clinical pharmacy services across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) to optimise safe and appropriate medication usage.
The position will rotate through a variety of clinical, operational (dispensary) and production teams on a rotation schedule.
