Queensland Health's Cairns Hospital Pharmacist - Advanced (Quality and Safety) leadership role seeks an experienced professional to provide operational management, clinical supervision and strategic leadership for a team of pharmacists, clinical assistants and admin officers. • Provide strategic leadership and change management to support local implementation of innovate models of care by engaging stakeholders, developing appropriate educational support materials and resources and effectively communicating new developments and outcomes for Medication Safety.
• Actively contribute to workforce planning and resource management to meet service requirements.
• Produce high quality written clinical reports, documents, service reports and oral presentations as required and facilitate the completion of accurate and timely patient specific documentation, ensuring that medico-legal requirements are met.
• Apply advanced level independent professional judgment regarding the assessment and development of medication safety and quality systems for the treatment of complex patients and services.

About us:

The Pharmacy Department at Cairns Hospital provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the hospital. Current services provided include outpatient pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas of Cairns Hospital, an extensive imprest service, clinical trials, and some educational services.
