Job summary

Petbarn Mermaid Waters is looking for an experienced Pet Stylist to join our Mermaid Waters salon on a full-time or part-time basis. You’ll clip and scissor across breeds with confidence and help train others, benefiting from a bonus grooming incentive program and a guaranteed income across 52 weeks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience.
• Advanced knowledge of grooming techniques, equipment, and breed and coat types.
• Ability to manage consultations, quotes, bookings, invoicing, ordering, and other day-to-day operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clip and scissor across all breeds confidently and without supervision.
• Support the training and development of other team members.
• Assist with salon operations and day-to-day tasks to maintain a smooth service flow.
• Complete 4–6 grooming services per day.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pet Stylist to join our Mermaid Waterssalon on a full-time or part-time basis.

As an Experienced Pet Stylist, you must be confident clipping and scissoring across all breeds without supervision, while also supporting the training and development of others.

What we’re looking for

• The ability to complete all grooming services confidently and without supervision
• Advanced knowledge of grooming techniques, equipment, and breed and coat types
• Confidence managing consultations, quotes, bookings, invoicing, ordering, and other day-to-day operational tasks
• The ability to support salon operations and contribute to effective team management
• The ability to complete 4–6 grooming services per day

As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to complete a two-hour grooming trial.
