Job summary

General Australia is seeking an experienced HVAC Field Service Technician to join our Perth Metro and North-Eastern Perth Territory team. You will diagnose, service, repair and commission air conditioning equipment across commercial and domestic settings, with strong customer service and technical support.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration and air conditioning trade qualification is required.
• Full refrigerant handling licence is required.
• Minimum restricted electrical licence is required.
• OHS general induction card is required.
• Current driver's licence is required.
• Field service experience in air conditioning is required.
• Domestic air conditioning repair experience is preferred.
• VRF experience is preferred.
• Commercial AC experience and commissioning experience are preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are required.
• Good communication and customer service skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organisation and time management.
• Professional presentation and sound judgement.
• Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Attend service calls and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose air conditioning faults and recommend solutions.
• Service and repair domestic air conditioning systems.
• Service and support commercial air conditioning systems.
• Complete commissioning and installation support when required.
• Provide technical advice to customers and technicians.
• Prepare service reports and provide technical feedback.
• Identify product issues and contribute to product improvements.
• Support technician and service agent training when required.
• Assist with workshop testing and product evaluation.
• Ensure all work meets company, safety and legislative requirements.
