Job summary

Mig-Co Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Plant/Mechanical Fitter for permanent Perth-based work. You will split time between our Hope Valley workshop and local onsite maintenance in Kwinana, with a focus on preventative and reactive maintenance of heavy equipment.

This role offers stability without FIFO and opportunities to contribute to diverse projects. We require a trade-qualified fitter with strong fault-finding abilities, the capacity to read drawings, and prior experience with plant

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a mechanical fitter with plant/heavy equipment experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong fault-finding skills and mechanical repair capabilities.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and safe workshop practices.
• Current WA Driver’s Licence and ability to pass site medical and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on mechanical fitting, repair and refurbishment of plant and equipment.
• Assemble machinery and structural metal components from engineering drawings.
• Diagnose faults, dismantle equipment and replace worn or defective components.
• Align drive shafts, bearings, pulleys, gearboxes and drive systems.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance; read engineering drawings; onsite work in Kwinana as required.
