Forward Ability Support in Newcastle and surrounding areas is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team on permanent shifts. You will provide in-home support to clients, helping with day-to-day tasks and building trusting relationships.

We offer permanent hours, comprehensive training, and a supportive team. Shifts run across mornings, mid-days and evenings in Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, with flexible scheduling to fit your commitments.

Formación

• Experience supporting people with disability or older people.
• Ability to work in clients' homes and provide day-to-day support.
• Willing to commit to a regular, permanent schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Provide in-home support to clients in Newcastle, Maitland and surrounds.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care as required.
• Build trusting, professional relationships with clients and their families.

It’s important to us that you feel like you’re a valued member of our team. We give:

• Great training so you can feel confident and capable. This includes training with our clinical team and buddy shifts. We don’t want to throw you alone in the deep end!
• A great team to join so you feel supported and connected. Our Newcastle/ Hunter team is a pretty amazing group!

We have shifts available across all days of the week:

• 6.00am to 8.30am,
• 9.00am to 12.00pm,
• 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

We’re flexible with your other commitments, whether that’s another job in disability or aged care, study at university or TAFE, or care commitments.

There are some other things you’ll need, like an NDIS Worker Screening Check, a First Aid Certificate, and a Drivers License. You won’t need to drive your own car to transport clients.
