Job summary

HammondCare At Home is expanding and seeks several permanent part-time Specialised Carers to support clients across the Woodburn/Coraki area, with travel to homes using your own car. You will receive a work mobile phone, paid travel time, and kilometres.

You will provide essential in-home care to help older people live independently and directly improve their quality of life. Flexible days and start/finish times, with weekend loading if you choose to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide personal care in clients' homes.
• Valid driver’s license and access to insured car.
• Certificate III in Aged Care or willingness to study.
• Comfort with travel between Woodburn and Coraki areas.
• Reliable and patient with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities.
• Transport clients to appointments and assist with shopping.
• Support with meal prep and light housekeeping.
• Assist with medication administration as needed.
• Attend paid training and complete required checks.

HammondCare At Home is continuing to expand our services and we are seeking several permanent part-time Specialised Carers to provide support to our Clients across the Woodburn/Coraki or willing to travel in these areas.

Our specialised carer receive a work mobile phone, paid travel time and kilometres. We have flexible days of the week as well as start and finish times, and weekend loading if you choose to work weekends.

About the role

In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travel to clients homes using your own car for which you'll be paid $0.96 cents per km plus paid travel time.

The care work you'll be doing may include:

• Providing personal care - helping with showering and dressing
• Helping around the home - meal preparation and light house cleaning
• Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
• Assisting with medication

About you

• You can relate to people and you're patient and solutions-focused.
• You may have previous experience in aged or community care or are looking to start your career in aged care.
• You have a valid Drivers Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (min. Third Party Property Insurance).
• Ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you.
• You'll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients.

• $28.70 to $31.50 per hour plus 96c/km + paid travel time + mobile phone provided

You will be required to undertake a Police Check, Functional assessment, provide two referees and evidence of minimum 2 COVID-19 vaccinations.
