Job summary

Homewell is a boutique in-home care provider servicing NDIS and ageing clients in Melbourne. We are expanding to the Eastern Suburbs with a supportive rostering team and flexible work environment designed to develop staff while maintaining person-centred care.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker in Ivanhoe to join our growing care team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide transport, and support decision-making about routines and supports.

Qualifications

• We require a Cert III or IV in Aged Care or Disability (required).
• Medication training is desirable.
• Experience with complex care in disability.
• Working with Children Check.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Your own reliable transport with comprehensive insurance and a Victorian Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including personal care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Ensure clients feel safe, heard and respected.
• Support client involvement in decisions about food, routines and supports.
• Provide transport and community access; prepare for appointments or activities.
• Provide domestic assistance as needed.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker in Ivanhoe to join our growing care team.

Some of your tasks will include:

• Assisting clients/participants with daily living activities (including personal care)
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Making the client feel safe, heard and respected
• Making sure the clients is included in decision-making about food, routines, and supports
• Providing transport and community access; making clear preparation before appointments or unfamiliar activities
• Provide domestic assistance as needed

About You

We are seeking caring, friendly, compassionate, people-focused individuals with strong communication skills who want a career that truly makes a difference in the lives of others. You will also have:

• Cert III or IV in Aged Care or Disability (required)
• Medication trained (desirable)
• Experience with complex care in disability
• Understanding of professional boundaries within the support work scope
• Working with Children Check
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Your own reliable transport with comprehensive insurance and a Victorian Driver License
