Job summary

BaptistCare is seeking Personal Care Workers to support older people in their own homes across Wonthaggi and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance.
• Certificate III in aged care or Individual support or above.
• Current Level II First Aid Certificate.
• Proficient with smartphone technology, apps and email.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks, showering and dressing, and meal preparation.
• Provide continence support and transport to appointments and local activities.
• Offer companionship, conversation and a friendly face to clients.
• Support clients to continue living safely and independently at home.

• $36.22 per hour + superannuation, plus paid travel time and mileage between clients

About the role

As a Personal Care Support Worker with BaptistCare, you’ll support older people in their own homes across Wonthaggi and the surrounding areas.

Every day is different. You might help with household tasks, showering and dressing, meal preparation, continence support, medication assistance or transport to appointments and local activities.

Just as importantly, you’ll provide companionship, conversation, and a friendly face.

In a rural community, those connections matter. You’ll get to know your clients, understand what is important to them and support them to continue living safely and independently in the place they call home.

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring:

• Completed Certificate III in aged care or Individual support or above.
• Current valid Level II First Aid Certificate
