Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care in Echuca, VIC is seeking a Care Worker to support clients in their own homes. This casual/temporary role offers flexible hours and a chance to make a difference in the local community.

You will assist with daily living tasks, transport, and personal care while building trusted relationships with clients to promote independence and wellbeing. No prior experience required, training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted Australian Driver License and a reliable vehicle.
• Level II First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communicator with patience and resilience.

Responsibilities

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in Echuca and surrounding areas, you will be part of our Baptistcare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Working within the local Echuca community, you may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, medication assistance and transport to name a few.

You will also develop genuine connections with your clients, become a familiar and trusted face in their day, and help them live their best possible lives while remaining independent at home.

To support you in your role

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver License and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients.

You will need a Level II First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.

You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys connecting with people and making a positive difference in the lives of older Australians within the local Echuca community.
