Job summary

Nurse Next Door on the Gold Coast is seeking kind, caring caregivers to join our flexible home-care team. We support clients in aged care and disability, delivering compassionate, personalised care in clients' homes and in a Supported Independent Living setting in Coomera.

Shifts run from 6am to overnight, including sleepovers and weekends, with a minimum of 20 hours per week and plenty of opportunity to grow within our team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert III in Aged Care, Community, Individual Support or Disability; experience welcomed.
• National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
• Working With Children Check—Blue Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
• NDIS Worker Screener Clearance - Yellow Card

Responsibilities

• Provide a premium care experience to clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transport and companionship.
• Deliver care in accordance with the client's care plan that has been developed by the Care Designer (Registered Nurse).
• Meet safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Work with a supportive and dynamic team.
• Ongoing training.
• Opportunity to broaden scope of practice through working in a Supported Independent Living House with 24/7 shifts available

Nurse Next Door is a certifiedGreat Place to Work. We are looking to build our care team with a variety of experienced carers who are able to work from a minimum of 20 hours per week. We are currently looking for staff who can cover both AM and PM shifts in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) house located in Coomera.

We have clients in Pimpama, Hope Island, Coomera, South Brisbane, Mt Gravatt, Redlands, Loganholme, Logan Beenleigh , Beaudesert and Scenic Rim

We have regular shifts available from 6am to overnight active shifts, sleepovers and weekends.

About the Role

We provide around-the-clock care, so visits may be scheduled early morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight to meet our client's needs.

A self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for their own behaviour & success.

Coachable

Previous caregiving experience is an asset.

Manual Handling experience is highly regarded

Must be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset!

Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Ambassadors when needed.

Reliable way to get to and from the client's homes.

Drivers with their own vehicle will be an asset

Mandatory Requirements

Minimum Cert III in either Aged care, Community, Individual Support or Disability, or industry experience is highly regarded

National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)

Working With Children Check- Blue Card

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion

NDIS Worker Screener Clearance - Yellow Card
