Job summary

Aveo is hiring a Personal Care Attendant for Minkara Resort on Sydney's Northern Beaches. This permanent part-time role follows a two-week roster with evening shifts and sleepovers to 7am, supporting residents at their Aveo home with wellbeing and independence.

You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities and accompany residents to appointments while maintaining care plans and notes, in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or Home Care Worker in community care.
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate, and vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care, hygiene and daily assistance.
• Assist residents with medication, housekeeping, laundry and transport.
• Engage residents in activities and social connections within the home.
• Maintain accurate resident notes and up-to-date care plans.
• Follow Aveo OH&S policies and report safety or resident incidents.

The OpportunityMinkara Resort is in the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches with stunning views over Bayview and Mona Vale. Set over 30 acres, the community creates a tranquil setting for low-maintenance retirement. As aPersonal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, socialsupportand dailyassistanceto residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building socialconnectionandassistingwith day-to-day tasks.

This is a permanent part time opportunity working the following roster:

Week 1: Sunday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning)

Week 2: Tuesday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning) and Sunday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning)

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.gdriving them to appointments or light exercise)
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety,securityand resident incidents

Whatyou'llbring

• Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care,independenceand wellbeing
• Friendly,adaptableand proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
• Strong communicationskills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)

What we offer

• Weekday Rate: $36.23/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Sunday Rate: $63.40/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements include penalty rates, overtime and allowances
