Job summary

Prestige Inhome Care is seeking experienced Personal Care Attendants to deliver high-quality, person-centred care across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, including Bondi, Randwick and surrounding areas. You will support clients with daily living, mobility, medication prompting, and companionship to enhance independence and dignity at home.

The role requires prior aged care or disability support experience, relevant qualifications, First Aid/CPR, NDIS screening, and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care, disability support or home care settings.
• Ability to support clients with coexisting complex care needs.
• Fluency in safety, hygiene, and client dignity practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support showering, dressing, grooming, and continence care as needed.
• Prompt and monitor medications and essential health routines.
• Assist with mobility aids and equipment per client care plans.
• Provide companionship and support community participation.
• Support clients living with dementia using positive care strategies.
• Maintain documentation and communicate changes to the care team.

Prestige Inhome Care is seeking experienced Personal Care Attendants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, including Bondi, Randwick, Maroubra, Coogee, Kensington, Kingsford, Rose Bay, Double Bay and surrounding areas.

About The Role

As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide personalised support to clients with their daily living needs, including:

• Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Supporting clients with showering, bathing, dressing and grooming
• Toileting and continence management
• Assisting clients with oral hygiene routines
• Medication prompting
• Supporting clients with eating and drinking
• Assisting with mobility aids and equipment based on individual client needs
• Supporting clients living with dementia, including using appropriate strategies to respond to resistance to care
• Providing catheter and stoma care where required
• Providing companionship, emotional support and assistance with community access where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Attendant, Support Worker, or similar role within aged care, disability support, or home and community care
• Experience providing personal care and supporting clients with complex care needs
• Confidence assisting with catheter and stoma care (desirable)
• Experience supporting clients living with dementia and understanding strategies to promote positive care outcomes
• A relevant qualification in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability Support, Nursing, or a related field
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle to travel between client appointments
• Flexibility and availability to support short-hour services across the Eastern Suburbs
