Job summary

Prestige In Home Care is hiring a Personal Care Attendant to support clients in the Brunswick, Burwood and Ringwood areas. You will deliver tailored in-home care, covering personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep and domestic tasks, with escorted and unescorted shifts as needed.

Casual pay rates start at AU$40.93 per hour. The role requires hands-on manual handling, compassionate communication, and the ability to work independently in clients' homes to help them stay safe and engaged.

Qualifications

• Experience in Personal Care Attendant role.
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes.
• Experience supporting complex care needs including MND and behaviours of concern.
• Hands-on manual handling experience with mobility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personal Care tailored to each client.
• Assist with manual handling and mobility.
• Deliver Domestic Assistance including cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Offer Transport & Community Access with escorted and unescorted shifts.
• Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

About the Role

As a Personal Care Attendant you'll provide tailored care, assisting with:

• Personal Care
• Manual Handling
• Domestic Assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal prep)
• Transport & Community Access (escorted and unescorted shifts)
• Meal Preparation (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

You will be a key part of our clients' lives, offering emotional support, facilitating social interaction, and helping them reach their personal goals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience in Personal Care Attendant role (aged care experience alone is not sufficient)
• Confidence working independently in clients' homes
• Experience supporting clients with complex care needs, including Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and behaviours of concern
• Hands-on manual handling experience, including hoists, slide sheets and other mobility equipment
