Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician for the Underground Mobile Maintenance team at Agnew Gold Mine in Western Australia. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault-finding and auto electrical services across heavy mobile equipment used in underground mining operations.

The role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with nights on cycles. You will mentor apprentices, coordinate parts, and ensure safe, timely maintenance to minimise downtime while supporting

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification is essential.
• Underground mining experience preferred; knowledge of mining technologies and equipment is desirable.
• Experience creating work orders/defects for repairs and requisitioning parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, troubleshooting and timely repair of mobile equipment.
• Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge to minimise downtime and production loss.
• Mentor apprentices/trainees and supervise contractors on site.
• Requisition parts and process maintenance orders.
• Develop and maintain procedures to ensure timely and efficient delivery of mining plans.
