• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Help with receiving deliveries, organising stock and taking inventory.
• Rotate through different kitchen stations to gain experience and learn various cooking techniques.
• Assist in plating and presenting dishes according to the chef’s instructions.

We are looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join our team on a permanent part-time basis at Best Western Olde Maritime, 110 Merri Street, Warrnambool, VIC — a well-established property at the western end of the Great Ocean Road, beside Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. You’ll be working in the kitchen of the recently refurbished Clovelly Restaurant & Bar, open seven days for breakfast and dinner and consistently rated among Warrnambool’s top restaurants.

Role overview

The Commis Chef will assist in the preparation of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to learn from experienced chefs.
