Kestrel Coal Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking skilled Workshop Fitters to join our in-house workshop, performing planned and breakdown maintenance, repairs and rebuilds on underground mining equipment. You will diagnose faults, test and prepare equipment for service, and work with maintenance, operations and other trades to meet workshop priorities safely.

A recognised mechanical trade, experience in heavy mining equipment and a safety-first mindset are essential; underground equipment experience

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining, repairing or rebuilding heavy mobile mining equipment in a workshop.
• Strong fault-finding skills with a practical approach to repairs.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe working environment.
• Clear communication and teamwork; underground mining equipment experience is valued but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Completing planned and breakdown maintenance, repairs and rebuilds on underground mining equipment and components.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out quality repairs for safe, reliable performance.
• Inspecting, testing and preparing equipment before it returns to service.
• Collaborating with maintenance, operations and other trades to deliver workshop priorities safely and efficiently.
