Qualifications

• Current and valid Multi Combination (MC) licence.
• Experience with interstate or long-distance linehaul preferred.
• Strong understanding of heavy vehicle safety and fatigue management.

• Safely operate MC-class heavy vehicles over long-distance routes.
• Ensure freight is transported and delivered per requirements.
• Conduct vehicle pre-start and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate work diaries and transport documentation.
• Comply with NHVR regulations and safety procedures.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and inspected.
• Maintain communication with operations on progress and delays.
• Care for vehicle and equipment during trips.

Wattle Logistics is seeking an experienced and reliable MC Truck Driver to join our growing team for a permanent interstate linehaul run between Melbourne and Perth. Key responsibilities

• Complete scheduled linehaul runs between Melbourne and Perth
• Safely operate MC-class heavy vehicles over long-distance routes
• Ensure freight is transported and delivered in accordance with operational and customer requirements
• Conduct vehicle pre-start and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate work diaries and required transport documentation
• Comply with NHVR regulations, fatigue management requirements and company safety procedures
• Ensure loads are properly secured and inspected throughout the journey
• Maintain regular communication with the operations team regarding progress, delays or issues
• Take responsibility for the safe operation and care of the vehicle and equipment

About you

• A current and valid Multi Combination (MC) licence
• Previous interstate or long-distance linehaul driving experience (preferred)
• A strong understanding of heavy vehicle safety and fatigue management requirements
• Knowledge of load restraint and vehicle inspection procedures
• A reliable, responsible and safety-focused attitude
• The ability to work independently and manage long-distance schedules
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to work
