Job summary

Richers Transport Pty is seeking experienced Permanent MC Long Distance Drivers to join our Maryborough team. This full-time role involves operating articulated vehicles across Queensland and interstate routes, delivering freight safely and on time.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logbooks, and comply with fatigue management regulations, safety laws and company policies while contributing to a safety-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Current MC licence with clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of long-distance articulated vehicle experience.
• Knowledge of fatigue management regulations and hours of service.
• Ability to maintain accurate logbooks and compliance docs.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and pre-trip inspection skills.
• Good communication with dispatch and customers.
• Commitment to safety and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate articulated vehicles (MC class) on long-distance routes across Queensland and interstate destinations.
• Ensure freight is transported safely, securely and on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and fatigue management compliance.
• Adhere to traffic laws, speed limits and safety regulations while driving.
• Communicate delivery progress with dispatch, customers and management.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety initiatives.
