Job summary
NEPEAN Belting is seeking an experienced Belt Splicer to join our Mackay team. Based at Slade Point, QLD, the role entails splicing, repairs and maintenance on conveyor belts across workshop and mine sites, delivering high-quality service.
The ideal candidate has belt-splicing qualifications, underground experience preferred, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Relocation and relocation support may be available for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Experience with conveyor systems and belt maintenance.
- Underground coal mine experience preferred.
- Cert II in Belt Splicing or polymer processing required.
- Level 3 Belt Splicer qualification is highly regarded.
- Valid MR licence and Heights ticket are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance
- Working across workshop and mine site environments
- Conducting belt and conveyor system inspections
- Supporting breakdown and scheduled maintenance work
- Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to high-quality standards
- Completing job documentation and site paperwork
- Assisting in mentoring apprentices and junior splicers
