Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in freight forwarding (air and/or ocean).
• CargoWise experience is advantageous.
• AFR/OFR export operations knowledge is advantageous.
• Dangerous Goods accreditation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of origin and destination government requirements.
• Strong communication, administration, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international transport bookings, maximising unit optimisation.
• Prepare, validate, and distribute export documentation for temperature-controlled perishable cargo.
• Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolve issues, and support customer service outcomes.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation and customer invoicing.
• Prepare customer quotations and support commercial outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and timely updates in operational IT systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and service delivery.

The Role

As a Perishables Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in our high-performing perishables team. This is a hands-on operational role where collaboration, adaptability, and accuracy are essential. You’ll be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring every consignment meets customer and regulatory requirements — often under tight timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international transport bookings, maximising unit optimisation

• Strong communication, administration, and organisational skills
