Job summary

Virtus Health's Spring Hill Specialist Day Hospital in Brisbane is seeking experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join a full-time team delivering high-quality care across admissions, scrub/scout and PACU.

You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and fellow nurses to ensure safe perioperative journeys, providing compassionate patient care in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in perioperative nursing (theatre, anaesthetics and/or recovery).
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of infection prevention principles (ACORN/NSQHS).
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Postgraduate perioperative qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.

About the Role

Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and fellow nurses, you will contribute to positive patient outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative journey.

• Scrub/Scout
• Recovery (PACU)

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
