Omega Medical in Bundaberg, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager to lead our perioperative team across a two-theatre day surgery. You will oversee clinical governance, mentor staff, and drive high standards of patient care in a supportive, close-knit environment.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong perioperative/day surgery leadership experience.
• Postgraduate qualifications relevant to perioperative care or willingness to pursue them.
• Proven clinical leadership, education and mentoring experience.
• Experience with quality improvement, infection prevention and control, WHS and accreditation.
• Advanced clinical and technical perioperative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership across a two-theatre facility and procedure room.
• Support Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, Plastics, Skin, Vascular and General Surgery.
• Lead and mentor perioperative nursing teams to maintain high standards of care.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager to join a modern private day hospital in Bundaberg, Queensland.

Working within a purpose‑built day surgery, you'll provide clinical leadership across a two‑theatre facility and procedure room, supporting Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, Plastics, Skin, Vascular and General Surgery.

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Strong perioperative/day surgery experience in a leadership role

Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the role, or willingness to work towards them

Demonstrated clinical leadership, education and mentoring experience
