Nexus Hospitals seeks a Clinical Nurse to join the Westside Private Hospital team as a Perioperative scrub/scout educator. In this full-time 12-month fixed-term role, you’ll drive evidence-based perioperative care, support safe surgical pathways and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

• Advanced experience as Perioperative scrub/scout in a surgical hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the role or commitment to achieving.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based perioperative care tailored to each surgical stage.
• Prepare for safe surgery ensuring theatre and equipment readiness.
• Coordinate and support procurement activities to provide resources.
• Prioritise patient safety and monitor progress for timely interventions.
• Mentor and educate colleagues to promote safe, consistent practices.
• Drive quality and safety improvements with leadership support.
