Job summary

Healthscope Hospitals is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to coordinate perioperative nursing care and lead the theatre team at Nepean Private Hospital. The role requires CNS-level expertise, AHPRA registration, and a focus on safety, evidence-based practice, and professional development.

You will mentor ENs, graduates and peers, collaborate with perioperative management, and support quality care across the theatre suite.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration is required.
• Minimum 5 years' perioperative nursing experience, especially Neuro/ENT, Anaesthetics and General/Gyne.
• Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).
• Ability to act as CNS, NUM or lead theatre teams will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and supervise perioperative teams to ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
• Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to nursing staff within the theatre.
• Deliver clinical teaching and support to ENs, graduates and students.
• Collaborate with the perioperative management team and external partners to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain professional standards in line with AHPRA and Healthscope policies.
