Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District seeks a Clinical Perioperative Coordinator (CPC) to identify and coordinate waitlisted patients for perioperative optimisation at Royal North Shore Hospital. The role provides specialist coordination and leadership to link patients with appropriate pre-surgery support services, including telehealth and prehabilitation referrals.

The CPC collaborates with the YaYS clinic and key clinicians to support holistic health and social wellbeing before surgery,

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a health professional or equivalent.
• Post-graduate qualifications in perioperative medicine or related field.
• Experience in case-management and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of NSW public health sector and perioperative pathways.
• Strong communication skills across clinical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate waitlisted elective surgery patients for optimisation.
• Provide telehealth clinical advice and link patients to prehabilitation services.
• Participate in YaYS shared-decision making clinic with the care team.
• Liaise with directors, consultants, and external providers to coordinate complex cases.
