Job summary

Gidget Foundation seeks Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychologists, or accredited Mental Health Social Workers to deliver face-to-face psychological support at a new Gidget House located at Westmead Private Hospital, Western Sydney.

The team provides specialist perinatal therapies for women and partners, across individual, couple and parent-infant formats, with Medicare Better Access rebates supporting service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must hold registration as a psychologist or be accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
• Experience in perinatal mental health is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver individual, couple and parent-infant therapies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face psychological support at Westmead Private Hospital, Western Sydney.
• Work within the perinatal specialist program, offering a range of therapies.
• Utilise Medicare’s Better Access Initiative to apply rebates where appropriate.

Job description

We’re looking for Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychologists or accredited Mental Health Social Workers to deliver face to face psychological support at a new Gidget House, located at Westmead Private Hospital, Western Sydney.

Our specialist perinatal (conception to one year post-partum) clinicians provide a wide range of individual, couple and parent-infant therapies to women and their partners. In addition to preconception counselling, we offer services to those experiencing, or at risk of developing, perinatal depressive, anxiety and trauma or stressor-related disorders. Support is also provided to women and their partners who have experienced a pregnancy or childbirth-related loss, e.g: stillbirth, miscarriage or termination.

The service is delivered through Medicare’s Better Access Initiative and the remuneration for Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychologists, Mental Health OT’s and Accredited Mental Health Social Workers is therefore the affiliated Medicare Rebate.
