Job summary

Holy Family Primary School in Canberra’s south Tuggeranong invites applications for a part-time Performing Arts Teacher. The successful candidate will teach Kindergarten to Year 6 for two days per week, delivering engaging Music, Dance and Drama lessons and fostering creativity and confidence.

The role involves contributing to school performances, liturgies and community events, working with colleagues to ensure a cohesive program that reflects Catholic education values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching required.
• WWVP clearance essential.
• TQI registration required for the role.
• Accreditation in accordance with Catholic Education Canberra & Goulburn policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Performing Arts (Music, Dance and Drama) to Kindergarten–Year 6.
• Work in a two-day-per-week job-share arrangement with planning and delivery of high-quality lessons.
• Support school performances, liturgies and community events.

About the Role

At Holy Family School, the Performing Arts Teacher works collaboratively as part of a job-share arrangement, teaching students from Kindergarten to Year 6 for two days per week. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences in Music, Dance and Drama that foster creativity, confidence, self-expression and a love of the arts. The successful applicant will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, contribute to school performances, liturgies and community events, and work in partnership with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and enriching Performing Arts program that reflects the values and mission of Catholic education.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.
