Job summary

Infosys is seeking a seasoned Performance Engineer to design and implement performance testing and tuning strategies for cloud and on‑premise applications. You will build tools, lead multi‑cloud testing initiatives, and work with DevOps and data teams to optimize performance.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, Azure, and large data workflows, while mentoring teammates and advancing SRE practices within an innovative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of experience with Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end performance testing and tuning strategies.
• Build custom performance tools using Java or related tech.
• Lead performance testing strategy, execution, and analysis across multi-cloud and third-party systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and collaborate with DevOps, Data, and Engineering teams to optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain automated performance testing frameworks.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices.

Salary: AUD AUD 127,971-141,157 AUD Annual Gross .

Short Description
We are seeking highly skilled hands on Performance Engineer experience to collaborate with Design, Architects, PO, third party vendors and implement Performance Tunings solutions for cloud and in house applications, highly skilled Mainframe , Big Data, Payments, Microsoft Azure and AWS SaaS/PaaS services

• Design and deliver end-to-end performance testing and tuning strategies and roadmaps
• Build custom performance tools using Java / relevant technologies
• Experienced with Performance Center and various performance testing tools
• Define and manage non-functional requirements
• Lead performance testing strategy, execution, and analysis across multi-cloud and third‑party systems
• Identify bottlenecks and partner with DevOps, Data, and Engineering teams to optimize performance
• Develop and maintain automated performance testing frameworks
• Perform capacity planning, chaos engineering, and apply SRE practices
• Optimize ETL processes and data pipelines
• Work across Azure PaaS (Synapse, Spark, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake / ELZ)
• Support performance across Mainframe, Big Data, Payments, Kafka, microservices, Teradata, and Oracle
• Experience with batch performance testing and strategies
• Produce clear performance insights and recommendations for stakeholders
• Mentor team members and promote best practices
• Stay current with emerging trends, including AI-driven performance engineering and testing.
• Experience with App Dynamics, Splunk and various cloud monitor tools.
  

Academics And Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 10 years of experience with Information Technology

Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline
