Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety seeks an Analyst within Corrections Victoria to provide performance reporting and analytical expertise. The role focuses on analysing correctional data, developing robust performance measures and communicating insights to stakeholders.

You will support internal and external reporting, identify opportunities to improve performance and work with business areas to translate data into actionable intelligence, in a collaborative, ongoing full-time

Qualifications

• There are no mandatory qualifications for this role; however a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be highly desirable.
• Pre-employment checks may include reference checks, NCCHC, misconduct screening.
• VicRoads checks, drivers licence checks, medical checks, Working with Children Checks, and Declaration of Private Interests may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret performance data to identify suitable outcome and output based measures for reporting.
• Provide technical advice to Corrections Victoria business areas to improve understanding of data and develop robust solutions.
• Analyse and present statistical information to senior management on system and regional performance, prisoner trends, and policy considerations.
