In your new role, you’ll be part of a leading global securities exchange with a strong brand. We are known for being a trusted market operator and an exciting data hub.

We are more than a securities exchange!

The ASX team brings together talented people from a diverse range of disciplines.

We run critical market infrastructure, with 1 in 3 people employed within technology. Yet we have a unique complexity of roles across a range of disciplines such as operations, program delivery, financial products, investor engagement, risk and compliance.

We’re proud to foster a workplace where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is part of our everyday culture. Our employee-led networks champion LGBTIQ+ inclusion, promote gender equality, accessibility and wellbeing, inspire giving and volunteering, and celebrate cultural and religious events, creating a sense of belonging for all. As an AWEI Bronze employer and member of the Champions of Change Coalition for gender equality, we’re committed to a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

About the team:

This role supports effective portfolio planning and performance oversight across multiple domains within ASX ensuring priorities are aligned across the enterprise, well-sequenced, and ready for decision-making. It provides leaders and teams with the insight, structure, and governance needed to support successful delivery.

We are here to deliver compelling experiences through digital engagement platforms that support our customer centric digital strategy, driving growth, leading in innovation and continuous improvement. Our team brings together quality engineering, product leadership and our customers to realise our purpose.

What you will be doing:

How we do things at ASX is just as important as what we do. This means, if you’re a people leader, you will be responsible for both the core duties outlined below, and providing leadership to your team to ensure we foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment, where people feel empowered, accountable, and deeply connected (as outlined in our Leadership Principles).

  • Facilitate the annual and quarterly planning cycles, turning strategy and investment decisions into prioritised, sequenced and achievable objectives across multiple teams.

  • Deliver performance oversight by monitoring progress against objectives and key metrics, and highlighting insights, risks and delivery trade-offs to support informed decision-making.

  • Support the adoption of enterprise governance rhythms, forums, cadences and artefacts within DET to improve workflow, issue escalation and the quality of decision-making.

  • Support the development of decision-ready materials for senior leadership, clearly outlining options, impacts, recommendations and required actions.

  • Lead performance and delivery forums, turning complex delivery information into clear, outcome-focused narratives for executives and accountable teams.

  • Develop and deliver structured stakeholder engagement approaches that bring diverse groups together around shared outcomes and organisation-wide priorities.

  • Drive consistency in performance measures and planning standards and support adoption across teams.

What you will bring:

Must have

  • Tertiary qualification in business, strategy, governance, technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in a performance, delivery, portfolio or enterprise transformation role.

  • Experience working within, and applying pragmatically, Agile delivery frameworks, enterprise delivery methodologies and governance standards.

  • Proficient in enterprise planning, reporting and delivery tools (e.g. Jira and AI-enabled platforms such as Copilot), with a strong focus on insight generation and decision quality.

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to synthesise complex data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making.

  • Strong stakeholder coordination skills, including the ability to design structured engagement approaches, manage senior and diverse stakeholder groups, and influence outcomes in ambiguous or challenging environments.

  • Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior leaders, including options, impacts, recommendations and required actions.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, using sound judgement to balance pace, quality and risk.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment will be viewed favourably.

  • Exposure to ways of working with continuous delivery and persistent teams

We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the criteria of this role.
