Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.

Job Description

The Performance and Reward team at Nine is growing, and this is an opportunity to be part of a team that’s building from the ground up. We are the strategic enablers of our high-performance culture. Our primary focus is to design and implement fair, transparent, and competitive total reward frameworks—from salary and incentives to comprehensive benefits—that are fully aligned with business strategy. Join us to leverage market data, drive pay equity, and establish clear job architecture and career pathways that define the employee value proposition and drive engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Remuneration Program Management: Support the design, governance, and administration of all remuneration programs, including fixed pay, Short-Term Incentives (STIs), and benefits, ensuring robust governance and data-driven decision-making throughout the annual cycle.
  • Market Competitiveness & Pay Equity: Drive proactive market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation. Actively contribute to the pay equity analysis process, providing strategic insights to senior leaders and the People and Remuneration Committee.
  • Policy & Process Ownership: Assist in the development and continuous improvement of reward policies and guidelines, ensuring all practices maintain full compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory obligations.
  • Strategic Collaboration & Reporting: Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating closely with Finance, Legal, and People functions. Prepare and present data and analysis to support the Remuneration Committee's reporting requirements and strategic decisions.
  • Data & Systems Leverage: Utilise internal systems (e.g. Workday) and external data to deliver robust analytics and actionable insights, ensuring transparent and compliant reward practices are supported by solid data.

  • Knowledge of corporate governance requirements and relevant Australian workplace compliance related to remuneration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear and actionable insights, whilst identifying opportunities to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
  • The ability to partner effectively with stakeholders to support, educate and collaborate on the best strategies that support their attraction and retention needs.
  • Confident communication skills, with a natural curiosity and the drive to challenge others when needed, ensuring the best outcome for our business.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
