Job summary

Elisabeth Murdoch College in Langwarrin, VIC, seeks a dedicated music support role focused on percussion. You will provide individual and small group tuition, lead percussion ensembles, and help drive the college’s evolving music program.

Working with teachers, education support staff, students and families, you will assist with lesson administration, assessments and performances, contributing to a dynamic culture of opportunity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Capacity to undertake routine support tasks across a range of functions within a school environment.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Proficiency in office systems, software or equipment relevant to the role.
• Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, education support, students and parents.
• Experience to support percussion instruction.
• Understanding and knowledge of the Child Safe Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group tuition to students on percussion instruments.
• Lead percussion ensemble and drum-line rehearsals and performances.
• Assist with administration for lessons and communication with students and parents.
• Assist in preparing students for assessments and performances.
• Assist with and attend College performances, excursions, camps as required.
• Attend whole school events and curriculum days pro-rata.
• Contribute to development of a music culture in the College community.
