Job summary

CareCone Group is seeking a PeopleSoft System Administrator to lead the upgrade from version 8.59 to 8.62 in Sydney. The role covers planning, environment setup, backup planning, security configuration, performance monitoring, and post go-live support.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on upgrade experience, strong administration skills across Linux/Windows, and familiarity with middleware such as WebLogic, plus database experience with Oracle or SQL Server.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a PeopleSoft System Administrator.
• Hands-on experience upgrading PeopleSoft (prefer 8.5x to 8.6x).
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft tools, web/application servers, and middleware such as WebLogic.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Solid Linux/Unix or Windows server administration skills.
• Backup, recovery and disaster recovery practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and support the PeopleSoft upgrade from 8.59 to 8.62.
• Build, configure and validate PeopleSoft environments (Dev, Test, QA, UAT, Prod).
• Define backup/restore strategies and coordinate recoveries.
• Configure security roles, access controls and audit requirements.
• Monitor performance during upgrade runs and production cutover.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, database, network and cloud teams.
