Job summary

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a People Services Advisor to support managers and staff across the full employment lifecycle. You’ll deliver clear guidance on contracting, onboarding and people data, helping ensure a smooth employee experience.

You will partner with People Information and Payroll to resolve issues, oversee HRIS workflows, and coach onboarding staff in a busy healthcare setting, contributing to continuous improvement and high standards of governance.

Qualifications

  • Experience across HR operations, employment contracting, onboarding and workforce compliance.
  • Sound knowledge of EBAs and the Fair Work Act with understanding of classification structures.
  • Experience with HRIS workflows, ideally SuccessFactors and/or SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate pay, data and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
  • Commitment to The Melbourne Way – putting people first, kindness and collaborative excellence.
  • Experience in healthcare, government or another complex, regulated environment is highly regarded.

About The Role

Join The Royal Melbourne Hospital as a People Services Advisor and support managers and employees across the full employment lifecycle. You’ll provide clear advice across the employee lifecycle, helping managers and employees navigate employment changes with confidence and ease.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing expert guidance on complex contracting matters and partner with People Information and Payroll to resolve issues and deliver a smooth employee experience.

Key Accountabilities

About You

You’re an experienced HR operations professional who understands the importance of a seamless employee lifecycle and brings:

  • Experience across HR operations, employment contracting, onboarding and workforce compliance.
  • Sound knowledge of EBAs, the Fair Work Act and classification structures, with the ability to interpret and apply them confidently.
  • Experience with HRIS workflows, ideally SuccessFactors and/or SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve pay, data and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to advise across all levels.
