Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a Senior HR Advisor for our Perth CBD office on traditional Whadjuk land. You will provide HR guidance to Senior Leaders, partnering with management teams across performance management, engagement, change management, diversity and inclusion, and workforce planning.

In this role you will coach leaders, manage complex HR/ER investigations, support leadership development, and contribute to organisational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives in line with Fortescue

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in human resources, employee relations or a related field.
• Senior HR generalist with IR/ER, performance management, organisational development, and HR reporting.
• Ability to communicate Fortescue People initiatives and values within discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, counselling, negotiating and report writing working across a broad group of stakeholders.
• Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to priorities and control own workload.
• Project experience would be highly regarded.

Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth CBD office located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people

Roster: Monday to Friday (with flexible work options available) with adhoc travel to site locations.

Working closely with the People Principal, you will provide HR advice and guidance to Senior Leaders, partnering with their management teams. This role will require you to work across a diverse range of HR matters including performance management, employee engagement, change management, diversity & inclusion strategies, workforce planning, training, and development, including succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with leadership teams to ensure the effective implementation and management of Fortescue People policies, practices, procedures that provide an optimal working environment.
• Promote Fortescue’s culture and values through positive role modelling and every day engagement.
• Provide high level coach/mentoring to leaders and the workforce.
• Management of complex HR/ER workplace investigations.

Qualifications And Experience

• Tertiary qualification in human resources, employee relations or a related field
• Demonstrated experience working in a Senior HR generalist role covering IR/ER, performance management, organisational development, and HR reporting.
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, promote and uphold Fortescue People initiatives and company values within discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, counselling, negotiating and report writing working across a broad group of stakeholders.
• Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to priorities and control own workload.
• Project experience would be highly regarded.
