Job summary

Arc’teryx is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to shape the people experience behind our evolving ANZ retail business. You’ll be out in stores with leaders, translating priorities into people strategies that drive performance and engagement.

You’ll build trusted relationships, coach leaders, navigate Australian employment law, and lead employee relations with sound judgement. This is a values-led, high-impact role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in retail or fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Strong commercial acumen linking people priorities to business outcomes.
• Confidence navigating complex stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Coaching mindset: support, challenge, and ask right questions.
• Strong employee relations knowledge within Australian legislation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with data.
• Strong project management skills with multiple priorities.
• Autonomous yet collaborative; knows when to involve others.
• Comfort with ambiguity and driving solutions without a playbook.
• Continuous improvement mindset; challenge the status quo.
• Passion for personal development for self and others.
• Love of outdoors and aligning with brand experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Retail leadership across ANZ to develop and deliver people strategies that support performance.
• Build authentic relationships across stores and the business as a trusted P&C partner.
• Coach leaders on performance, talent, succession, recognition, and development.
• Lead employee relations matters with sound judgement.
• Provide expert advice on employment legislation and retail awards.
• Champion P&C programs across Retail like performance reviews and talent reviews.
• Use data and insights to identify trends and risks and make recommendations.
• Listen to retail teams and improve policies and employee experience.
• Identify capability gaps and work with leaders on solutions.
• Promote personal development and pathways for growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and bring P&C insights to life.
• Maintain HRIS data and processes for reporting and compliance.
