People & Culture Officer (Recruitment & Onboarding)

The People & Culture Officer (Recruitment & Onboarding) is responsible for coordinating and delivering recruitment and onboarding processes across all Mayfield Group business units. A key focus of this role is ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time, supporting seamless People & Culture operations. This includes managing contracts, system updates, reports, and employee records while delivering a consistent and professional candidate and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Deliver end-to-end recruitment administration including advertising, screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and documentation management.
  • Prepare, issue and track employment contracts, offer letters, and contract variations.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including inductions, system set-ups, compliance checks, and probation reviews.
  • Maintain recruitment and onboarding data within the HRIS/ATS, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide excellent customer service to candidates, managers, and new employees.

P&C Administration & Coordination

  • Own the administration of core People & Culture processes, ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered within required timeframes.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee files and ensure records comply with legislation and company policies.
  • Generate and maintain reports on recruitment, onboarding, and workforce data.
  • Support cyclical P&C activities such as performance reviews, recognition programs, and learning & development administration.
  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to the team as required.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and leaders across all sites.
  • Provide clear guidance to managers on recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, and service providers when required.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–4 years’ experience in recruitment and HR administration, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Strong administration background with proven ability to manage high-volume tasks accurately.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS systems and intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field (desirable).
