No two weeks will look exactly the same. You'll work closely with the broader P&C team and support activities including:
Recruitment & onboarding – candidate communications, interviews, reference checks, pre-employment activities, contracts, inductions and welcoming our new starters
Training & development – coordinating training, maintaining competency records and supporting workforce development and capability initiatives
People & Culture – supporting employees across the employment lifecycle, preparing documentation, maintaining employee records and assisting with day-to-day P&C enquiries
Culture & engagement – helping deliver employee events, recognition activities, internal communications, surveys and the likes
HR systems & workforce reporting – working with people data, reports, dashboards and HR systems
Projects & continuous improvement – getting involved in P&C projects and helping us improve the way we work.
This isn't a role where we expect you to walk in knowing everything. Curiosity, initiative and a genuine desire to build a career in HR will be important.
This could be a great fit if you're:
Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
Working in administration, recruitment, customer service or workforce support and looking to move into HR
Already working in an entry-level HR role and looking for broader exposure and your next development opportunity
Organised, approachable and comfortable working with lots of different people
Someone who takes pride in getting the detail right while still seeing the bigger picture
Confident using Microsoft 365 and keen to develop your capability with HR systems and workforce data
Previous HR experience is great, but you don't need to have done it all before. What’s more important to us is that you’re motivated to get involved, learn and build your capability. You’ll learn by doing, working through real situations and solving the day-to-day challenges that inevitably come up when working with people.
We're a 100% Australian owned and operated FMCG manufacturer, producing tortilla wraps, flatbreads and bakery snack products for major Retail and Foodservice customers. We're based right here in Maryborough and are continuing to build a business our local community can be proud of.
For the right person, this role offers something particularly valuable early in an HR career: breadth.
You’ll build practical experience across multiple parts of People & Culture rather than being limited to one speciality, providing a foundation from which you can develop towards areas such as People & Culture, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, or Safety & Wellbeing.
We're open to someone joining us part-time from 30 hours per week through to full-time, making this an opportunity that could suit someone balancing study, family commitments or simply looking for greater flexibility while developing their career.
If you're a people person, curious about HR and looking for an opportunity where you can learn, contribute and grow, we'd love to hear from you.
