Job summary

Based in Sydney, Alinta Energy is seeking a trusted People & Culture partner to lead a dedicated portfolio across trading, generation and development. You will balance hands-on support with longer-term workforce thinking and practical solutions that help the business perform.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or related discipline.
• HR generalist background spanning employee relations, performance, workforce planning, organisation design and change.
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders in a complex, commercial environment.
• Solid knowledge of Australian employment legislation, contemporary people practices and conflict resolution.
• Ability to question established approaches and bring forward workable alternatives.

• Provide practical, commercially focused people advice to leaders.
• Support workforce design, planning, change, performance, remuneration, talent and employee relations activities.
• Work with leaders to understand business challenges and develop practical people solutions that consider both immediate needs and longer-term impacts.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, coach leaders and support constructive outcomes across a range of people matters.
• Use workforce data, people metrics and business insights to identify emerging risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.

What you’ll do

Your experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
• A practical HR generalist background spanning employee relations, performance, workforce planning, organisation design and change
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders in a complex, commercial environment
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, contemporary people practices and conflict resolution
• The confidence to question established approaches, think beyond the immediate request and bring forward workable alternatives
