Job summary

Central Gippsland Health (CGH) in Sale, Victoria, seeks a People & Culture Business Partner to support staff and managers in dedicated portfolio areas, handling ER/IR matters and coaching leaders to deliver divisional plans.

You will partner with managers, guide change, and collaborate with payroll while maintaining a strong focus on health sector requirements and employee wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications at a diploma/degree level, or at least 5 years' experience in a HR role.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Experience working in public sector or health industry.

CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).

Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.

CGH also provides aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire and beyond.

We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield delivering high-quality, person-centred care in supportive and homelike environments.

CGH provides a wide range of community-based services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes the provision of Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programs, and other in-home services tailored to individual needs.

Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to enhance community wellbeing.

CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About the Role

The People & Culture Business Partners provide support to staff, managers and leaders in their allocated portfolio/s. This includes supporting all ER/IR matters for their division, coaching leaders and supporting the delivery of their divisional plans through P&C support. The priorities, and level of support required on various issues, may differ and fluctuate between teams. These roles would also be expected to navigate and lead through periods of industrial activity such as enterprise bargaining and protected industrial action for their relevant agreements covered (noting that majority of our EBAs are state collective agreements, so most of the time it would be acting as the CGH representative on reference groups and then leading an implementation committee)

The successful incumbent will be an experienced HR professional, preferably with experience partnering with managers and teams to provide dedicated support, and have a genuine passion for great people outcomes through a balanced viewpoint.
